with information is asked to call baltimore county police. >> an elderly woman is dead. a good samaritan was taken to the hospital after a fire. >> this happened yesterday evening. kim dacey joins us live with the latest details. >> good morning. the victim was an 88-year-old woman who lived in the home with other family members. she was the only one inside the home when the fire started. the fire started just after 6:30 sunday evening near collins avenue in northeast baltimore. a neighbor was hurt trying to get into the home to save the victim. he was rushed to the hospital. the body was found inside the home. officials do not know how she died. neighbors say it was a terrible scene. >> i saw the flames shooting up out from the first floor and the flames were so thick and i never seen any flames like that before. it was very bad. >> everybody in the neighborhood came around trying to help. >> the cause of the fire is still under investigation. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. fire crews were busy last night battling a fire at a dundalk landmark. fire crews responded to northpoint road. s
gave you on this week against the bureaucrats and baltimore police are trying to decide who deliberately saw -- started fires. >> we are joined live from outside the apartment with the latest on investigations. and what's good morning. they say that molotov cocktails were crowned at the scene of both fires. it was just a morning just before 4:00 when residents of the park side gardens apartment complex book up to smoke and fire -- and fire on all three levels. seven people were taken to an area hospital with varying degrees of injuries. also a fire at another apartment complexes. buckley and no one was injured there. both were started by molotov cocktails, the work of an arsonist. please believe the incidents are connected and looking for clues. they are hanging science and sticking it permission around the information. these apartments appeared to be chosen at random. >> it does not appear based on the victim ology of the incidents that these are targeted. it could be as simple as juveniles playing a dangerous prank or if it is something more serious, we will be on that ver
for information into a double shooting in east baltimore. it happens near east pratt street. a portion of the road was blocked off. there was shattered glass on the side of the road. more information as it becomes available. police all looking for information into a separate double shooting. police say two people were shot. one of the victims were shot in the leg. both victims are in the hospital. a baltimore county mother is dead following a weekend shooting. >> police are calling her death senseless. kim dacey is doing double duty with the latest on that investigation. >> 22 year-old larelle amos was engaged to be married and worked with suntrust bank. police say she was not the intended subjects. she was at a party in the front yard of a home of the alameda when shots rang out. one struck her in the chest. the shots came from down the street on the alameda. police are calling this a senseless death. they are asking for the public's help to track down whoever did this. >> unacceptable. will not rest until this is completed and we have whoever is involved. i want them to come for it. if somebody

for the funeral of a baltimore city police officer. nadia ramdass has the details of. >> police officer forrest taylor will be laid to rest today. he leaves behind a wife and two children. the veteran died late last week after complications from surgery. the surgery stemmed from an accident he was involved with while on duty. he had been responding to a call with his signal lights on, ran through a red light, and collided with another car. officials are considering it a line of duty death. services for officer taylor are scheduled for later today on 5200 north charles street in north baltimore. visitation begins at 10:00 a.m.. be advised a traffic advisory has been issued due to the funeral service. expect traffic delays on charles street which will be closed. it is expected to be closed until 1:00 p.m. today. nadia ramdass, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. harford county sheriff's office after a deputy was killed in on duty. he crossed two lanes of traffic and crashed into two trees. investigators were to remove him from the vehicle -- investigators worked to remove him from the vehicle. >> it i

on traffic pulse 11. >> the family of a baltimore city man is looking for answers after he dies following an encounter with a police. >> jennifer franciotti is live downtown with more on this. how did this happen? >> this unfolded on friday night. family members said he died on friday night after a confrontation with police. they claim he was on his way to his granddaughter's birthday party when officers assaulted him. a number of family members witnessed the event. there is a different story. they caught anderson in a drug deal. >> observed him put some type of narcotics in his mouth. they placed him under arrest for that and took a into police custody. he started complaining about discomfort and pain. it was believed he ingested some of the drugs he had and he was choking on them. >> anderson did died a short time later. the officers involved in the arrest have been suspended with pay. police say the investigation is standard any time something like this happens. the family is considering a wrongful death lawsuit. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the new police commissioner is s
